pro/sIkmTV Job Description The SEM Manager will be responsible for planning, optimizing, implementing, and analyzing paid and organic search engine marketing initiatives.
They will be at the forefront of new search and advertising technologies, ready to educate the digital marketing team on evolving best practices.
This position is key to future company growth and will be responsible for pay-per-click (PPC) advertising campaign management.
The ideal candidate must possess a keen understanding of paid search marketing and strong leadership skills.
Responsibilities Here are some examples of the actual work your day would include.
Manage, grow, and develop the Search Engine Marketing (SEM) team Oversee day-to-day activities for SEM, SEO, and PPC marketing including campaign planning, implementation, budget management, performance review, and campaign optimization (Google Ads and Bing Ads) Conduct A/B tests for a multitude of campaign variables to increase the efficiency of campaign budgets to drive leads and improve conversion Recommend landing page strategies, consult on landing page planning and optimizations, and provide analytics to measure ROAS Stay current with new advances in search engine marketing, competitive landscape, keyword research, and overall digital presence Collaborate with agencies and vendors when required, including digital marketing project managers and digital marketing specialists Don't know about ponds? Skill Set SEM Manager candidates must possess the following knowledge and skills to be successful:
3-5
years in a Search Engine Marketing Management role; leading and developing a team 3
years of experience in overseeing and monitoring paid search campaigns and KPIs Fluency in Google AdWords and Microsoft Advertising (Bing Ads) Experience in strategizing, developing, executing, optimizing, and measuring all forms of digital paid media (SEM, SEO, PPC) Hands-on knowledge of SEM best practices and a proven track record of delivering qualified traffic from both acquisition and conversion standpoints Working knowledge of GA4 (or other analytics software), conversion tracking, e-commerce, and the interplay of PPC/SEO Strong data analysis skills with the ability to derive meaningful actions from large data sets Ability to multi-task and prioritize in a fast-paced and dynamic work environment An organized individual with great attention to detail and a focus on quality results A self-motivated individual and team player Takes accountability and ownership of one's work This role requires the ability to lead and operate on both a strategic and tactical level, touching all aspects of the search marketing funnel including keyword management, campaign messaging creation, bidding strategies, creative testing, and analytics.
This position requires data entry, remaining stationary at a desk, and analyzing a computer screen for extended periods of time.
In addition, portions of the training require the SEM Manager to shadow other departments that may require physical activity including lifting 25-35 pounds and standing for long periods of time.
