Job DescriptionThe Electrical Engineer will design products that include but are not limited to:
analog front-end circuitry, high-speed digital interfaces, Bluetooth, WiFi, system level integration, analog power systems including SMPS, illumination, user interface, sensors and motors.
This role is instrumental in delivering quality service and products to our customers in both the B2B and B2C sectors.
Our Electrical Engineer will be hands on and working in the fabrication and R & D areas.
The Pond Guy is spread over several buildings consisting of over 200,000 sq ft.

ResponsibilitiesHere are some examples of the actual work your day would include.
Act as the point person on new product development with outside manufacturers and provide electrical/controls design direction and feedbackDocument and report on product development progress against defined scope of work and timelinesDesign, hands on prototype product build, and testing for motors, control panels, wireless controls communication systems, water garden product controls and dosage systems, etc.
Design electrical circuits and systems from concept to product:
ideation, project timing, schematic design and layout, prototype build, test fixturing, and production oversightWork with IT team to develop hardware and software to support IOT (Internet of Things) product solutions with front end apps and TPG databases to interface with productsProgram PLCs (Allen-Bradley, Siemens, etc.
), touch panels and equipment controllersRead and create electrical circuit diagrams and mechanical process schematics to work with customers to develop machine controlsOperate in cross-functional engineering tasks within R & DDesign, implement, maintain, or improve electrical instruments, equipment, facilities, components, products, or systems for commercial, industrial, or residential purposesPrepare specifications for purchases of materials or equipmentEstimate labor, material, or construction costs for budget preparation purposesInspect completed installations and observe operations to ensure conformance to design and equipment specifications for compliance, including ETLDesign electrical systems or components that minimize electric energy requirementsDevelop systems that produce electricity with renewable energy sources, such as wind, or solarDevelop and assist in customer presentations related to new product development and/or product modifications and enhancementsProvide root cause and troubleshooting in support of ongoing qualityDon't know about ponds? Job RequirementsTo be successful in this role, you need to have a certain amount of knowledge and skills:
Experience in AC and DC electronic design with electronic circuit technology assembly processes (analog, digital and/or high voltage design) is requiredAbility to program in Java or Python is a plusCAD experience is preferredFamiliar with electrical engineering design principles and methodologiesKnowledge and experience in software integration, verification, and testingFamiliarity with injection molding processes and mold design a plusFluid handling experience a plusBachelor of Science degree in Electrical/Control Engineering or Mechatronics is preferredAbility to work with customers, engineers, designersKnowledge of common terms and techniquesHands-on mind set with ability to work in an office environmentProficient computer knowledge in word and excelThis position requires Manual dexterity for working with small components, ability to complete repetitive motions for long periods of time, bending, continual lifting, lowering and carrying packages that typically weigh 25 - 50 lbs.

Our Electrical Engineer position will require extensive use of a computer system.
This position involves a high degree of interaction with engineers and other departments (Purchasing, Production, Customer Service, etc.
).
